ABOUT RACING ROCKS
"Racing Rocks!" is a two-hour weekly music-intensive program that provides rock fans coast-to-coast with news, exclusive insights, interviews and dedicated coverage from the world of NASCAR, primarily the Sprint Cup racing series. The program, which debuted in the Spring of 2003, is available to affiliates in a choice of two different mixes, one for Mainstream/Active Rock stations and one for Classic Rock outlets.
In the driver’s seat as the host of both versions of Racing Rocks! is well-known air personality Riki Rachtman who is not only a serious NASCAR fan, but is also a respected racing commentator and a highly recognizable rock radio and TV figure. Rachtman emerged on the music scene in the late 80's when he opened his legendary rock-and-roll venue, The Cathouse, and he also served for five years as the host for MTV’s original "Headbanger’s Ball." Riki has also recently been seen on Fox's Speed Channel and other high-profile racing outlets including NASCAR.com.
Joining Rachtman on the broadcast team each week are Stephanie Simmons from Reelz Channel who provides coverage of movies and other entertainment news each week, as well as Chris McClain, a sports radio veteran reporting from Charlotte, North Carolina and covering the Nationwide Racing series.
Great rock radio shows deliver great music and great content between the songs, and for fans of NASCAR and rock, Racing Rocks! is the intersection of two of your favorite things.

Find us on Facebook - The Chop Shop Guitar Show
I grew up in Flushing Township, Michigan (out in the sticks) between Flint and Saginaw. I have been on the air for 20 years, 19 years in Detroit at legendary stations including Z-Rock, The Bear, The Ted Nugent Morning Show and WRIF.
I have always done specialty shows, from “Studio Z” to the very popular “Listening Room”, to “Ultimate Albums”. I’ve always made an attempt to show radio listeners that there is much more to the craft of making music that meets most of their ears.
All of my past shows and radio experience have led me to launching The Chop Shop in 2004. The Chop Shop and Chop Shop Classic are guitar shows for all rock & roll fans. It’s not just about the fastest players, or the heaviest, or the most technical, but rather a celebration of all those who have chosen a life centered around the instrument. Between the 2 shows all styles of rock guitar is included.
While not working in the syndicated radio world, I am also the Program Director/Mid-day personality for 103.9 The Fox in Flint.
I have an exceptional wife named Gina and 2 step kids that I love dearly. And the home life wouldn’t be complete without the 2 dogs and a cat.
