As of Sunday morning, there are still about 7,000 residents who are still without power. As a result of Friday evening’s storms, nearly 7500 customers were without power, along with over 2800in Garrett County and 3700 in Mineral County, West Virginia. Potomac Edison is still working to resolve the problem of power outages and downed trees. The Allegany County Office of Emergency Management says there are “cooling centers” at the local fire departments, which are providing both ice and water to residents.
