Police Search For Robber

Cumberland City Police and other law enforcement units are investigating a robbery around 10:34 a.m. at the M & T Bank on Industrial Boulevard in South Cumberland Wednesday morning. This is the second robbery at the M & T Bank since March 11^th. The suspect is described as a heavy-set white man, wearing a black hat, blue shorts and a gray tee-shirt. A black handgun was reportedly used in the robbery, and police believe this is the same suspect that robbed the bank earlier this year. The Maryland State Police Trooper Five helicopter and a K-9 unit were also utilized in the search for the suspect. As a precaution, the Allegany County Board of Education ordered a lock-in or Fort Hill, Washington Middle School, South Penn and John Humbird schools.
