September 14-15, 10AM-6PM FSU hosts their annual Appalachian Festival on the Upper Quad as part of Frostburg’s Bicentennial Celebration. Throught the festival, check out regional music & dance, traditional arts & crafts, Appalachian food, cultural programs, history presentations, children’s activities, goat milking, film festival, beekeeping & more! Welcome to Frostburg Festival |

September 14, 5-11PM As part of Frostburg’s Bicentennial Celebration, a Welcome to Frostburg Festival will be held at City Place & City Square, located at 14 S. Water Street. (Proceeds will benefit the Bobby Preston Memorial Fund.) Highlights include a variety of musical entertainment (6 live bands) and the debut of Micheal McAlexander’s film “The History of Frostburg.” Additional activities include Community Model Railroad Club layouts, a Classy Chassy Car Club Cruise-In, performances by the Frostburg Dance Academy, horse-drawn carriage rides, and a wide variety of entertainment for children, including a “Kids Zone” that will feature games from 1812, photo opportunities with historic figures, inflatable games, balloon tying, face painting and many other family activities. In addition, the Frostburg Fire Department will showcase a highly equipped fire engine and fireman’s protective gear.
